 Poros
produces excellent honey made of the pine trees’ resin;
it has an excellent taste, pine-flavoured and a dark,
copper-like colour.
The island also has a wide range of fruits and vegetables
such as raisin, citrus, olives, tomatoes, etc...
The wine in Poros is very good as is the olive oil.
Fresh fish is excellent and can be found in almost every
local tavern.
Meat is of great quality in Poros and many very original
and mouth-watering meat dishes can be found in some
taverns, such as spit roast meats, pork stuffed with
garlic and more delicious local specialities.
