Poros Archaeological Museum: The Archaeological Museum of Poros Greece, Saronic

The Archaeological Museum of Poros, Saronic Greece: The Archaeological Museum of Poros was founded in the 1960s and it is located in Korizi Square, Poros Town. The building was built in a plot of land donated by the Korizis family. The museum displays artifacts excavated on the island, in the neighbouring coasts of Peloponnese, in Methana and Troezen. Most of the artifacts date from the Mycenaean to the Roman times.

In particular, the museum hosts findings from the temple of Poseidon in Vayionia Poros, a collection of funerary stylae, ancient inscriptions and pottery from Ancient Troezen in Argolida, ancient inscriptions and Hellenistic figurines from Methana and bronze vessels from Ermioni. There are also many other exhibits from various excavation sites in Argolida Peloponnese.
