Description: The Hellenic naval academy situated in Poros has been the backbone of the naval force of the Greek Armed Forces
First home of the Greek Navy and Summer Palace of King Otto 1 of Greece.

Location:
3 km northwest of Poros town
Description: Megalo Neorio is a beautiful sandy beach with shady pine-trees on the south-west coast of the island.

:: Lemon Tree Forest

Location:
Opposite the port of Poros town, in Galatas village
Description: The thick forest of lemon trees (Lemonodasos) has no parallel in the whole of Greece. Nested between the trees, thre are picturesque watermills that add scenic beauty to the whole place. There is also a wonderful waterfall inside the lemon tree forest.

:: Bourtzi Islet

Location:
East of Poros harbour
Description: Bourtzi is the island fortress of Poros and Galatas town. It was built in 1827 and its external walls are still standing. The tiny islet can be reached by boat from Poros and it is locally said to be infested by snakes.

Location:
9,5 km west of Galatas village
Description: It is believed to be the birthplace of the famous Greek hero Theseus. Parts of the city and the ancient and medieval buildings still remain.
