Pieces of work of the famous Greek artist Alekos Fassianos are being displayed in the Historical Archives Museum of Hydra till October 31st. The exhibition includes twenty two paintings and twenty prints that belong to the private collection Zachariadis. These works of art have been displayed in places all over the world, like Paris and New York, and now they are presented for the first time in Greece.

Alekos Fassianos was born in Athens in 1935. He studied in the Athens School of Fine Arts and then went to Paris on a scholarship to continue his studies on lithography. His works have been displayed in the major museums and galleries of the world. Apart from a painter, Fassianos is also a writer, a poet and a stage-designer. His paintings are characterized by slight motion, bright colours and sensuality. He usually gets inspired from tales, figures of shadow theatre and everyday life.
