 In
Hydra visitors will find wonderful traditional costumes,
fine ancient and modern hand-made local filigree jewellery,
superb traditional embroidery and various other traditional
artefacts.
The famous almond nougat (amigdalota), typical traditional
sweet produced in all the Argo-saronic islands (Poros,
Spetse, Aegina and Hydra) can also be found on Hydra
and is worth-trying for it is really tasty.
Fresh fish and all kind of sea products are also the
specialities of Hydra and visitors can taste some very
interesting and mouth-watering fish dishes in some of
the local taverns scattered around the island.
