Location: In the centre of the island
Description: It is a wonderful small town, hidden in a small, natural harbour. It is famous for its beautiful mansions built in the 19th century and its narrow, paved alleys.

Location:
Close to Hydra town
Description: It is a rocky beach, as most beaches on Hydra. However, the surrounding landscape is gorgeous. There is a beach bar that offers nice views to the sea and the neighbouring islets.

:: Hydra Historical Archives Museum

Location:
On the eastern side of Hydra harbour
Description: This museum was founded in 1918 and houses a collection of portraits, manuscripts, pieces of weapon, Greek maps and a library, among others. Its building was constructes according to the traditional architecture of the island.

:: Hydra Merchant Marine Academy

Location:
In the Tsamadou mansion in Hydra
Description: This is the first naval academy in Greece. It functions till today. You are not obliged to enter the building, just to admite the mansion and the courtyard.

:: Vlicho village

Location:
About 10 km to the south of Hydra town
Description: It is a small seaside village with some newly built summer houses and restored mansions. It can be reached on foot from Kaminia village or by taxi-boat from Hydra town.

:: The Bastions with Cannons

Location:
At the entrance of Hydra port
Description: These cannons were used for the protection of the island against the enemies and the pirates attacks. You can see them today surrounding the port of Hydra town.

:: The Monastery of Profitis Ilias

Location:
On top of Profitis Ilias hill
Description: It is the most famous and most visited monastery of the island. It was built in the 19th century and it is still inhabited. You can go to this monastery on foot, it takes about 45 minutes walking.
