Agistri: Metochi Agistri

Metochi village Agistri: Metochi is one of the four villages on Agistri. Unlike the other three, this one is not included in the bus service schedule, so it must be reached by other means. Those who like island hoping and exploring will surely like this travel, while the ones who prefer other means will have the rewards of their effort, once they reach Metochi.

In fact, this effort really pays off, since this village is situated on a slope between Megalochori and Skala. Its location guarantees a great view -maybe the best on the island- especially from the little church of the Virgin Mary on the highest part of the slope. In fact, the whole Agistri can be appreciated from Metochi. In addition, the walk path leading to this part of the village is very nice. Apart from its great views, this village has many strong points to highlight, such as its only tavern, run by a family, and a few accommodation facilities.
