The small island of Agistri is known for its crystal beaches, the small villages, and green nature. Due to its closeness to Athens, it is frequently visited as a relaxing weekend destination. Except for nice beaches, there are not many sites on the island. The main places to swim include the beach of Skala, Aponissos, Dragonera and the beach of Megalochori. There are also some nudist beaches in Agistri, the most famous of which is Chalikiada beach. As this is a small island away from traffic, a nice idea is to rent a bicycle and cycle around the pine-shadowed roads.
