General: Stole my heart

I have been to quite a few Greek islands, but Tilos is my favorite chill out destination in Greece with its laid back atmosphere and the most incredible landscape of mountains and the Aegean Sea where nature is at its best and commercialism, thankfully, still far behind. When I arrived at the port by ferry from Rhodes, I was a bit disappointed with the crowds. It seemed like any other touristy ...

General: Peaceful holiday

We went to Tilos hoping to enjoy a quite island and it did not disappoint.
Great accommodation at the Ildis, great beaches, great tavernas, and a lovely coffee shop. Hired a car for 2 days as any longer would have been a waste of money.Overall if you want a calm peaceful holiday, Tilos is the place for you

General: For trekking and relax

I had been to Tilos before (2004) and knew what to expect of this lovely island. I mostly enjoyed the trips in the mountains and not crowdy beaches. There are a lot of beaches in Tilos for few people. My best beach was in Livadia. This is the most developed village and you will find anything there. Megalo Chorio, the ...

General: Best holiday ever

If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place to go. But if you are looking for a great place to relax, nice beaches and locals who wants the best for you, then Tilos is the place to go. Even our kids (11 and 14) loved it.

General: Quiet and some boredom

The only place with some life on Tilos is Livadia and that applies only for the daytime. At night, it is total quiet. The only bar in Tilos is found among the ruins in Mikro Chorio. Thank God, there was at least one bar! Beaches were nothing worth to mention. Livadia is the most convenient beach to go as all hotels on the island are located around it. To cut a long story, I was a bit bored on T...

General: Nice beaches but no nightlife

Thank God, we had rented a motorbike from Rhodes, otherwise it would be very difficult to move around Tilos. There is only one bus between Livadia and Megalo Chorio but itineraries are too unreliable. The island is tiny, you could be from one side to another is 20 minutes. Road were also horrible, just one main road that would get track in some points. The beaches though were nice, remote and c...
