Beaches: Excellent place

Thassos is one of the excellent place for visitors in Greece. It is not expensive, also very peacefull place. I recommend to visit Potos and also the monastery and the monastery's beach. It is about 15 km far from Thassos, you will see a wonderfull beach and also a monastery very close to the beach. If you like nightlife, Potos also is a good option.

Beaches: A long and beautiful beach

Limenaria is the beach close to Limenas, the capital village of Thassos, so it is very easy to go. You will find a very long, beautiful beach with white sand and clean water. Many beach bars, restaurants and hotels are around Limenaria and a very picturesque environment. From Limenaria, I remember lying on the sand and happy children swimming and yelling in the sea. It was just lovely!

Everything went great on Thassos. It is a nice island with a lot of greenery. The trip to Thassos was easy and not tiring at all. You take the ferry from Kavala and in 40 minutes, there you are! WE HAVE NOW BEEN TO POTOS 4 TIMES, USUALLY 2/3 YEARS APART. WE WENT LAST YEAR AND ARE GOING BACK AGAIN AT THE END OF MAY. THE BEST BAR IS ANONYM-GEORGE AND THEO ARE THE BEST. Very good place for relaxation, but there should be more restaurants(taverns). There are many cafes and bars, but only a few places where you can have an Ouzo and dinner. ;) Food in General is OK.
