Best thing on Skiathos were the beaches: especially Banana, Koukounaries, Lalaria but there are also other excelent beaches there. Its worth laying on other beach every day. Visit as many beaches as you can. They have great sand, crystal clear waters, best view. Skiathos also has great bars and very nice tavernas...

General: Have more flights

Why is there only 1 flight from Athens to Skiathos during the peak season and this flight leaves late at night. We arrive in Athens very early in the morning and then have to wait all day for our flight to Skiathos.

This hotel has been our home from home for the past 2 years and this year we have recommended it to 10 of our South African friends who are all going to stay in July The manager, Angelo, is really friendly and most accommodating in every way and nothing is ever too much trouble for him

We have been there in the past and we love Skiathos. Our hotel was in Koukounaries and this is probably the only complaint we have, because the hotel was generally run down and not a 4 star as advertised. In general, pay attention when you book a hotel in Greece because most of them do not pay the international standards. They seem to have their own rules, which can confusing for foreign touris...

I loved the green trees of Skiathos and the sandy beaches! You don't easily find such a small green island in Greece. You could find a new beach in almost every cove. I mostly liked Banana and Koukounaries. If you have small kids, avoid Banana because there are some nudists occasionaly. Sunbeds were a bit pricey at 8 euros for 2 beds and one umbrella. Generally, Skiathos was a little expensive....

There are some very good restaurants on the island. The best are the old traditional tavernas in the back streets of the town (eg. Folia).
