General: Excellent value for money

Sue and I have just returned from Paxos. We enjoyed the island and the people just as much this year as last. The accommodation, pool & car were 1st rate. Prices seem to have risen quite a bit since last year, but all things considered it's still excellent value for money, look forward to returning again, hopefully later this year.

General: Crystal water like mirror

This is one of the purest regions in Greece! You will love the cozy beaches, the crystal water and the green landscape around of Paxi. Villages are nice but look a lot to each other. I didn't find many differences between Gaios and Lakka. But the beaches are awesome! So clean like mirror! Great beaches are also in Antipaxi, which is a small islet close to Paxi. You go to Antipaxi by boat from ...

General: Romantic beaches

When I think of Paxi, I have in mind the tiny and gorgeous beaches around the island. I especially remember our trip to Antipaxoi island (there are frequent boats to Antipaxoi from Gaios), I think Voutoumi is of the best beaches in Ionian (along with Kathisma and Porto Katsiki beaches on Lefkada). Apart from the beaches, the rest of Paxi is a beautiful island, mostly Gaios, which is the capital...

General: Calm and traditional

The island is beautiful, calm and traditional. Nightlife is very quite and beaches are quite good, but not as good as in Antipaxi or Corfu. The best beach for me was the first beach on the left on the way from Loggos to Gaios. What you will not miss in Paxi is Greek food, which is always excellent! The island is great but only for a few days to relax. Then go to Corfu to find adorable beaches a...

General: Good for a weekend

We got the best impressions from Paxi. It is a tiny island and you generally do not need a car to go all around it, except if you want to rent a motorbike. You can do most tranfer either by taxi (distances can get no bigger than 10 km, so taxi fares are low) or by boat to go to beaches. Do not spend all of your holiday there, since in 3 or 4 days you will have seen what you have to see. For me,...

General: Paxi

Well worth spending a holiday here. Only sandy beach is a man-made one in the south, except if you hire a little boat and go around the island where you can find many little coves to explore. The island is non-touristy and suitable for those who don't want a wild night life - just sitting in a taverna/restaurant, watching the world go by, whilst enjoying wonderful food. It is expensive, in c...

General: Just lovely

We went to Paxi last summer by hydrofoil from Corfu. We spend just a weekend there, but it was enough to see what there was to see. The island was lovely. Small beaches, picturesque sceneries, nice waterfronts to stroll around. For me, the best beaches are in Antipaxos. To go there, you can take the boat from Gaios. The only thing to mention was that although Paxi is tiny in size, I found it ra...
