General: Build a small airport

Nature in Patmos is very nice. This is the top on the island. Beaches could be better organized, like have showers, toilets and changing cabins. Rent a scooter for 2 days to visit the whole island (34 sq km) at your own pace and stop wherever you like, the views are wonderful. The monastery and the city of Chora are really beautiful, people on Patmos. Great Lambi beach with coloured stones and a nice, cheap tavern by the beach. We went to Patmos by catamaran from Rhodes, which passed a lot of other islands en route. Most (and best) hotels on Patmos are found in Skala because they give views to the long beach and the main port of Patmos. Skala is the port of Patmos, where the ferries arrive and many fishing boats moor. It is actually a tiny village with many tourist facilities, though. If you come on Patmos after busy islands like Mykonos or Kos, then you will probably be disappointed as it is a truly quiet island. Beaches: Agriolivado is a relaxing beach

Agriolivado is very easy to go and close to Skala, that is why we were frequent visitors there. The area around was very green and the water too clean. If you are lucky, you will find some umbrellas and beds to lay. Otherwise, you can just swim and have a coffee at the seaside cafeterias, which are enough around the coast. Relaxing beach! Have a nice time!!
