We visited Mystras on a one day trip, while we were in Sparta. Mystras is only some km away from Sparta and we thought to spend a day there. Mind that the Mystras itself is uninhabited! We visited Mystras last August but we arrived there late, as the site was about to close (it closes at seven in the evening). So, we just saw it from a hill above. Mystras is a nice archaeological site close to Sparta. We were there this August as part of our driving around Peloponnese. Climbing to the top of Mystras was quite tiring, as it was a terribly hot morning. (Going down was certainly easier and much quicker!).
