We stayed at the Ambavris appartments last may 2010 just outside kos town our 3rd time there ! George and the family are really brilliant hosts! The small complex is basic but very clean, nice bar and pool and set in lovely countryside. A long 10-hour trip will get you to Kos. The trip is nice but after the first 4-5 hours, it was getting tiring. Tour operators have changed deeply the costumes of many places in Kos. Kardamena look like a Liverpool surrounding with drunken English boys singing football songs. I suggest you take better control of the drunken guys and do not let them driving without hamlet. Unfortunately the offered food was mainly low quality. The harbour area in KOS is overloaded with tourist and also with restaurants. So the restaurants mainly make quick and low quality food.
