I don't think beaches is the best Ikaria has to offer. I think the best feature of the island is the green landscape and the small villages. However, if I had to choose one beach, I would say Kambos. It is very long and with sand. Nice water and generally quiet. Do not expect to find wild beach bars, only some taverns.

What I enjoyed most in Ikaria was walking and driving in the wild landscape. It was great! A pure, green island where you forget about anything else. A nice family vacation for families with big kids. We have 2, 13 and 18 years. Beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. No norwegian people. Very greek.
