Comments: I have spent 38 days at the Oceanis this year and every day was a day in Paradise. I have been here about 20 times and every time I have been made so welcome by Nikos, Illianna, Dimitri and all the staff I have met over the last 7 years. My husband insisted insisted on spending his 50th birthday at the Oceanis as he said it was the only place he wanted to celebrate a special event. Nikos always makes you so welcome and will do everything in his power to ensure you have a great holiday. I strongly reccommend The Oceanis to all travellers.
Sincere & passionate service makes Oceanis the best hotel we ever stayed at!

Comments: With over 20 years in the hotel business and currently working at the only 7 Star hotel in the world (Burj Al Arab – Dubai) I thought I knew everything about hospitality, but our stay at Oceanis has reminded me of the most basic things that make a hotel unique and special which is sincere and passionate service!

My wife and I came from our fairytale wedding in Denmark and after one week in Paxos, and had quite high expectations from Oceanis based on all those amazing Trip Advisor comments we had read.

The rooms were perfect - clean, great size and nicely furnished.

Shortly after we arrived we sat at the restaurant next to the big pool overlooking the fantastic scenery of Corfu, then we met Vanya and David who served us the most incredible dinner created by Dimitri. WOW! We also got greeted & welcomed by Nikos, the owner of the hotel, an amazing welcome by amazing people with amazing food.

Throughout our stay we forgot about the rest of Corfu and became lifetime friends with Nikos, Vanya & David, not only because they were so incredibly good at their job but as they are truly amazing people.

We spend most of our time at the hotel as there was no reason to venture out, we felt like we were at home with our best friends and closest family.

A particular thing we liked was the attention to detail by the housekeepers who cleaned our room as soon as we went for breakfast and were finished by the time we returned. That is one of the little things one expects from an international 5-star hotel, not from a small independent hotel in Corfu, so nice, and when we did see the housekeepers in the hallway they were so nice and friendly even though they were busy.

With our half-board we had breakfast and dinner included, wow wow wow...looking at the menu you get confused from all the choices available, then having the food created by Dimitri – who is our gastronomy hero – was just beyond words, whatever we tried was so incredible, simple food becoming delightful creations of art in your mouth, no words can describe how much we loved his food.

We became lifetime friends with Nikos, Vanya and David...they all three deserve a special mention as they made us feel better than we ever felt in a hotel, and we have been to quite a few around the world and have also worked in quite a few around the world.

David welcomed us when we arrived and showed us to our room, throughout our stay we came to know David very well, he is great at his job and very ambitious. It’s quite admirable that being from Georgia and in the short time he lived in Greece David has already learnt Greek, besides knowing Georgian (his native), Russian, English and German. Very impressive!

Vanya had just arrived at Oceanis right before us, but she already had it under control. She was great fun and very entertaining, especially when she improvised in drinks making. She has a very loving nature, and it was very hard to leave her when the time came to return home.

We consider them both our friends and will for sure stay in touch with both of them and hope to see them here in Dubai or somewhere else.

We were also very impressed by Nikos, the hotel owner, who welcomed us when we came for our first dinner and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. We had some great conversations with him during our time there, very impressed by the hotel and reputation he has built up. We hope he gets to expand or build more hotels as his leadership style reflects in the staff and great atmosphere.

We had some great times with Vanya, David & Nikos, that have left us with new friends, more than anyone could expect from a hotel stay.

We simply loved Oceanis and will be most happy to recommend it to our friends and colleagues. We would love to come back to Oceanis and hope to get a chance to see our new friends anywhere else we can get an opportunity to meet up.

The Oceanis and its people made our honeymoon more special than we could have ever wished for.

Comments: I have been to the Oceanis Rooms so many times that I have lost count, only one person has been there more than me and that is my wife, so I feel I am in a position to give a good insight as to what you can expect there.

The rooms are clean and all have an ocean view. The views are stunning. The food is excellent. The hospitality is the best you could wish for. The pool area is a total sun trap with a good amount of sun beds.

The rooms are good Greek holiday accommodation. There are 3 different types of rooms ranging from studios to 2 bedroom apartments all with good size balconies overlooking the sea. All rooms have excellent air conditioning units which are free to use. The studio rooms are large with a good amount of wardrobe space. The kitchen area has a 3 ring hob with oven, a fridge, sink and cupboard for dishes. The bathroom is a wet room, which means the floor gets wet as it is meant to. I have seen some reviews criticising this, but this is normal for Greece. The other rooms have separate bedrooms with a good size living dining area. Some rooms have a bathroom with a bath and a shower. All rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Bed linen and towels are changed on a regular basis.

The views are outstanding both day and night, especially if you are lucky enough to be there when there is a full moon. The only drawback about the location is that The Oceanis is situated between Barbati and Nissaki on a winding road. If you want a quiet relaxing time this is not a problem but if you want to go elsewhere then a car is a necessity. There is a good bus service with a bus stop close to the rooms.

The pool area and restaurant are situated down stairs from the rooms on top of the cliff. The pool is cleaned daily. There are sun beds with umbrellas and also some tables and chairs with umbrellas in case you have had enough sun. There is always at least one member of staff there to look after you.

The restaurants chef, Dimitri, serves the best Greek food I have ever tasted. Everything from a salad to his Kalimari or Pastistada are all made with fresh ingredients.

The real success of the Oceanis is without a doubt, Nikos, his sister Illianna, Dimitri and the rest of the staff. Nicos’ main aim is to do everything he can to make sure you have a great holiday. If you want to hire a car Nikos will arrange it for you at a reduced price. The car company he uses is more expensive than some companies but they give you real full insurance whereas other companies will tell you they do, but if you have an accident you will soon find out that your excess may be as high as 1000 Euros. If you want to hire a boat for a day, he will arrange this, again at a reduced price. If you want to take a trip ask Nikos the best people to go to.

If you want a relaxing holiday, or a base for sightseeing, in good accommodation with stunning views, great food and a great host then I highly recommend The Oceanis Rooms.
