Sparti can be directly reached by car and bus.
 Travel there - Flights
Sparti doesn't have an airport. The nearest airport is in Kalamata, which is about 1 hour drive from Sparti, through a mountainous road. The airport of Kalamara may be small but it receives many domestic and charter flights. Otherwise, there is also the airport of Athens, which is international and receives much more flights certainly. From Athens, you can go to Sparti by bus or by car.
Travel there - Ferries
Sparti is a mainland town and doesn't have a port. However, there are two ports in Laconia, both in about an hour drive from Sparti. The port of Gythio serves ferries from/to Kythira and the port of Neapoli serves ferries to/from Kythira and Elafonissos. |
