An overview of Patra Greece...

Patra GreecePatra is located on the northernmost point of Peloponnese. This is the third largest city in Greece and it has one of the busiest ports of the country, serving ferry itineraries to the Ionian islands and Italy. Patra is a town with rich history and has many monuments, such as the Medieval Castle, a Roman Odeon and a Roman Theatre. It is also famous for its vivid nightlife and the lovely cafeterias by the seaside.

Patra also organizes the best Carnival in Greece. Held in February or March, carnival events in Patra last for six weeks and they include musical concerts and theatre performances. The peak event is the costume parade on the last Sunday of the Carnival period. The parade starts from Olga Square and ends in King George Square.
