Monemvasia is actually divided in two settlements: Palia Monemvasia (Kastro), the Medieval town carved along the sides of a rock, and Nea Monemvasia, the modern town outside the rock. Both settlements offer many tourist facilities.

Location: On the south eastern side of Peloponnese

Description: This is a traditional village with old houses and narrow paved paths. Its inhabitants deal mostly with agriculture.

Description: This is a small village with beautiful port and wild landscape. The remains of an ancient town can be seen in close distance.
