Mouriatada
village Kyparissia: Located 7 kilometers northeast of the city of Kyparissia you will find the quaint village of Mouriatada. The village belongs to the Municipal Department of Mouriatada, along with the settlement of Karvouni. One of the ways interpreting the name of the village says that it came from the mulberries ("moura" in Greek) in the region.
For visitors looking for that quaint Greek experience, there are many traditional coffee houses in the area where you can enjoy a delicious cup of Greek coffee.
In the centre of the village you will find the church of Zoodochos Pigi, patron saitn of the village. The Church celebrates the first Friday after Easter in a grand way. Along with a Church of the Virgin Mary, there are country churches of Saint Nikolaos, Saint Dimitrios and Saint Ioannis lying to the north west of the village. |
