The town of Kyparissia do not host many museums and thre is only one you can visit. However, you will find the Folklore Museum of Kyparissia really interesting if you take some time visiting it.
The Folklore Museum of Kyparissia is found in the Upper Town and it is housed in a restored building. |

This building used to be a courthouse in the 18th century.
The important note with this building is that Kostis Palamas, a great Greek poet, lived there for one year in 1881, when he was a child.

Many traditional materials, such as costumes and old photos of the town, show the visitor the development of Kyparissia over the last decades.
This Museum occasionally organizes many cultural events, especially in the summer. These events include photo or paintings exhibitions, concerts and book presentations. |
