There are various festivals occurring around Kyparissia throughout the year. The Cultural August is one such event. It starts in early July and continues till late August.
The Cultural August includes cinema and theatre performances, exhibitions and athletic contests. Moreover, in the second week of September, there is a book fair in the central square of Kyparissia. |

Various religious events are also celebrated in this town all year round. The biggest religious festivals in Kyparissia are on the Day of the Holy Spirit and on the Day of the Holy Cross, on September 14th.
A fair is held in Ano Poli these days with food and traditional dancing. The festival lasts for three days and all residents and visitors are welcome to take part. |

There are also many festivals in the villages around Kyparissia town. The Orka festival is held every year in Armenioi village, in the second weekend of August.
There is also a haddock celebration in Spilia village and an Origanum feast in Stasio village every summer. Apart from these festivals, there are many religious fairs all year round. |
