The small town of Kyparissia is blessed with an abundance of charming and lovely churches. Most of them are built in the recent times and have an impressive architecture. The church of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) is the protector of the city and its celebration (40 days after Easter) is a public holiday for Kyparissia. The church of Holy Trinity is found in the Old Town and was built on the ruins of an ancient temple.
The church of the Annunciation of Virgin Mary is found close to the beach and its size is impressive. The church of Annunciation in the Old Town, the church of Agios Athanasios at the entrance of the city and numerous other nice churches and picturesque chapels can be found in the town of Kyparissia or the nearby villages.
The beautiful, stone laid church of Agios Athanassios is located at the entrance to the city of Kyparissia. It is a clean church with modern architecture, which is laid with brown stone. The architecture of Agios Athanassios blends the modern style with the local cultural one, creating a wonderful contemporary style church.
The church of Agios Nikolaos was built by the fishermen of the harbor at the port of Kyparissia. It is a small rustic Greek church. Though small in size it, in no way fails to impress with its architecture and interior decoration. The Holy Monastery of Virgin Katsimikana is also found to the south of Kyparissia.
