Mavrovouni
village Gythio: The village of Mavrovouni is found in the peninsula of Mani, at approximately 2 km to the south of Gythio. It is very small and counts only 500 local residents, whose economy is based on olive oil production, fishing and tourism.
In spite of its small size, it is a popular tourist resort.
It is a seaside village and offers many accommodation options as well as enough tourist facilities. It can be used as a base to visit other famous tourist destinations in Laconia, such as Monemvasia, Mystras, Areopoli, Sparta and the caves of Diros. |
