The Historical and Ethnological Museum of Gythio Peloponnese: The Historical and Ethnological Museum of Mani is housed in the Tzanetakis Tower, a strong stone tower, typical of the region's architecture that belonged to a local politician. This tower is found onto the islet of Kranae. It was established in 1989. The exhibits of this museum give us a view of Mani, its long history and tradition.

It hosts some old maps and scripts of Western travelers, who visited this region from the 15th to the 19th centuries and marked their observations. It also informs the visitors on the different stages of the fortification of the Mani peninsula. Some of the exhibits are on permanent display, while others are variable.
