Agia Varvara beach Gythio: This is a quiet and pebbled beach. You shall not find tourist amenities there nor watersports facilities. Agia Varvara is usually calm and you will most possible find locals there rathen than tourists. You can go there by car or motorbike, since there is no bus to this beach.
An old, stone church dedicated to Agia Varvara stands right on the coastside. It dates from the 12th century and does not work any more. However, it stands there as a monument of the Byzantine times. |
