General information about Ermioni, Peloponnese Greece: A small port town on the southern side of the Prefecture of Argolida, Ermioni is a picturesque place to spend some relaxing vacations. Ermioni Greece is actually spread around a small port, which receives hydrofoils from Piraeus and Hydra. The largest part of this port is where fishing boats and yachts moor in summer.

taverns and few shops. On the one side of the port, there is a peninsula with a windmill on top, and on the other side of the port, there is a small pine forest. Excavations in this forest have revealed part of the ancient town of Ermioni.

In a walking distance from Ermioni, there are few beaches to relax. However, these beaches are narrow and bit rocky. For longer beaches, visitors have to go a couple of km away from Ermioni. Also Ermioni Greece can be used as a good base for excursions in the region of Argolida and the Saronic Gulf. Close to Ermioni Greece, there is the cosmopolitan port of Porto Heli, the islands of Hydra, Poros and Spetses, and also the archaeological site of Epidaurus.
