In the specific case of Epidaurus, however, one of the best known roads is the one coming from Athens. Once passing the Corinthian area, the signs point to the ‘Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus’. The postitive side of this road is it has plenty of signs to Epidaurus. The negative side is that it is narrow and gives the impression of leading to nowhere, as it has no traces of life, or gas stations either.

In such days, there are also four or five buses that connect Nauplion to Epidaurus’ theatre. The only detail that should be kept in mind is to take only those with the sign indicating the theatre of Epidaurus, instead of those which sign says ‘Nea Epidavros’ or ‘Archea Epidavros’. Late at night, once the play ends, there is also a service to Nauplion making visitors’ return easier. |
