The monastery of Panagia Agnountos was built in the 18th century in the Byzantine style. It is famous for its frescoes and its nice location, close to the mountainous village of Nea Epidaurus.
Built in the 15th century, the Monastery of Taxiarches contributed a lot in the Greek War of Independence. Today it is a female monastery and open to visit.
