As there is no airport on Elafonissos, you cannot fly directly to the island. The closest airport is found on Kythira. From there, you take the ferry to Neapoli, Laconia and from Neapoli, you take another ferry to Elafonissos.

Elafonissos is not directly connected to Piraeus, the biggest port of Greece. The ferries to Elafonissos leave from Pounta, a port close to Neapoli, Laconia. The trip from Pounta to Elafonissos takes about 30 minutes and the ferries work from early in the morning till the evening.
