Simos Beach Elafonissos: No wonder why people say Simos Beach is one of the best beaches on Elafonissos Island. Simos Beach is easy to reach by car, although the road needs some repairing.

Have in mind that there are two Simos Beaches, Megalos Simos and Mikros Simos, meaning Large Simos and Small Simos, respectively. Megalos Simos is the longest beach on Elafonissos and Mikros Simos is reachable on foot from there.
 
Those who choose to drive to Mikros Simos will see a wonderful small beach on their left: the narrow stretch of land connecting Mikros with Megalos Simos.

Both Mikros and Megalos Simos are sandy beaches. Their waters are cool crystal blue. You can take the opportunity to do windsurfing there when it is windy. Simos is better organised than the other beaches nearby, offering some bars and cafeterias. There are also some taverns on the beach.

Being rep uted as one of the best beaches in the country, the place can get a little crowded in high season.
