81 archaeological sites and monuments will stay open tonight till 01.00 am, so that visitors can enjoy the romantic full moon of August, the most bright and beautiful full moon of the year. As every year, the ancient sites will welcome visitors and some of them have organized musical concerts and theatrical performances for this night. The entrance will be free and visitors will have a short briefing on the history of each ancient site. The unfortunate thing is that many famous sites and museums will not remain open, such as the New Museum of Acropolis, or sites in tourist islands, like Rhodes or Corfu.

Here are a list of some sites that will remain open tonight:
- Acropolis of Athens
- Sounio
- Byzantine Museum of Athens
- Delos
- Archaeological Museum of Volos
- Castle of Akrokorinthos
- Mesa Lesvos
- Castle of Mytilene on Lesvos
- Heraion Temple on Samos
- Iria Temple on Naxos
- Museum of Prehistoric Thera on Santorini
- Acropolis of Nisyros
- Museums of Kalymnos, Leros, Kos, Patmos, Karpathos, Astypalea, Simi
