Honoring the “Lyric Scene Diva”, the Greek artist Maria Callas, an exhibition is taking place on the north Greek city Florina, at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition is entitled “Maria Callas – 30 years later” and was inaugurated on Saturday, 30 August, by the Greek President of the Republic, Karolos Papoulias.

This remarkable exhibition is hosted in Florina, in the frame of the “Prespeia” feasts that take place in the city. It includes photos and archive material from the first steps of the Greek soprano in the Athens Lyric Scene, from their shows in Verona and Milan, portraits of her made by Greek painters, as well as personal items such as dresses and letters.

The duration of the exhibition is not yet known.
