I am a 61 year-old semi-retired electrical technician / manager.  I have an interest in Greece because some of my ancestors came from Ydra.

I always had some affinity for Greece, even before I knew of my ancestry, there.  For some reason, even my school lessons on Ancient Greece were readily absorbed and retained.

I have recently completed a tour of the Greek mainland and 8 islands, with my wife and a group of friends.  I am in love with the place and the people, and hope to return.  I took over 5000 hi-res photographs.

I like travelling and different cultures and different foods.  I lately enjoy photography (esp wildlife)

I grew up in a project town of 14000 people with people of about 80 nationalities.  I speak some French and German (understand about 80% if the speaker is Austrian). I can swear fluently in about 6 languages.  Our best friends are Czech expats.  I have been trying to learn some Greek.

I am from a technical and human resource management background and enjoy the spectrum of associated interests.  I spend 10-12 hrs per week on the internet and am above average computer literate.

I like writing and history.  I also enjoy fly-fishing when time is available
