We (me and my husband) have been travelling to Greece for the last 15 years or so and in that time, visited a good number of island and mainland destinations.  Our preference is for the quieter and less commercialised parts of Greece and in addition to the wonderful beaches, we love to visit the mountains, villages and many historic sites, as well as enjoying the food and wine and the warm welcome of the Greek people.  The minute we step off the plane in Greece, and smell the warm, herb scented air, we feel totally relaxed and ready to explore more of this wonderful country.

We started out visiting via cheap and cheerful package holidays, always hiring a car to explore the areas.  In recent years we have become more adventurous and have done a couple of independantly booked fly/drive holidays, one to The Peloponnesse (Nafplion, Monemvassia and Paralio Astros) and the last to the northern mainland, visiting Delphi, Meteora and Zagoria, followed by a relaxing week in Lefkada.  We like to explore new parts of Greece and still have a long list of places we wish  to visit.

I am a mother and grandmother and love spending time with my 4 year old grandson.  I'm always planning my next holiday, most often to Greece but other countries too.  When at home in the UK, we like to visit gardens and National Trust properties and go walking in the countryside.  We both enjoy photography and take far too many pictures!
