I've been once in Crete and twice in Lefkada, last time in 2010. Most pictures come from that trip, an intense week spent around this small treasure on the Ionian sea.

I always avoid mass tourism. When on holiday I'm looking for an experience as far as possible from my everyday life, and try to learn and assimilate the most from local culture, atmosphere, humanity. Often, a talk with a fisherman can tell you so much more than what you may ever learn in a museum.

The small peaceful village of Vassiliki, the immense and primitive Egremni, the fierce people living in ancient villages on the mountains, the melanchonic sunset view from Cape Lefkada lighthouse, the dock of Sivota, a landing point for sailors reminding of a pirate bay, Geni and its wild wood... I'll never forget those places.
