However, the most popular part of Thessaloniki is the Promenade, where people stroll around with view to the port.

Location: Along the port
Description: The paved Promenade of Thessaloniki is the most popular spot of the town. Lined by cafeterias and bars, this relaxing promenade passes by the White Tower, the symbol of the town.

Description: Aristotle (or Aristotelous) Square constitutes the centre of Thessaloniki. This is the most famous square of the town, surrounded by Neoclassical buildings and plenty of cafeterias.
Location: On the north of the modern town
Description: The Old Town (or Ano Poli) of Thessaloniki used to be the Turkish and the Jewish Quarter. Part of this picturesque neighbourhood was destroyed in a big fire in 1917. Walking in the paved streets of the Old Town will give you a great view of the port, the modern town and the surrounding mountains.

Description: Ladadika used to be an ill-famous quarter in the past, but today it has turned into apopular nightlife spot in Thessaloniki. In Ladadika, you will see paved streets, abandoned houses and renovated buildings that host cafeterias and restaurants.

Description: The neighbourhood of Egnatia hosts the ancient sites of Thessaloniki, the Roman Agora and the Palace of Galerius. It is crossed by Egnatias avenue and many Byzantine churches can be found on the sides of this street.
Location: Close to Aristotle Square
Description: Navarino Square is a central spot in Thessaloniki. This is a paved square with plenty of cafeterias and creperies around it. It gets particularly popular in the evenings.
Location: Between Aristotle Square and Egnatia
Description: This quarter distinguishes for two famous monuments of Thessaloniki, Rotonda and Kamara. This is a central and popular spot of the town.
Location: On the east of the port
Description: This square took its name from the Christian Brotherhood of the Youth of Thessaloniki, which is housed in a building there. Closeby, there is the space where the International Trade Fair is held.
