I went on a holiday to Halkidiki with my cousin last October and stayed at a selfcatering accommodation at the quiet resort of Hanioti. At just 3 minutes from the beach, the place was perfect with the shops and lively part of the beach at a comfortable distance so that it didn't get too noisy in... More >

On my trip to Halkidiki, I was invited to stay at a friend of mine in a village called Vourvourou. It is located at the second peninsula of Halkidiki, called Sithonia. This place combines perfect the mountain above the village with the bushy trees and the blue green, magnificent water of the beach.... More >
The car trip to Halkidiki was pleasant and easy, although border crossing to Greece could be better organized, like a separate lane for EU citizens.
The region was lovely, we stayed in Vourvourou in a family hotel and the owner was very kind. Beaches in Halkidiki are good for families with little... More >

Easy, wonderful and pleasant Halkidiki...
I like Greek villages very much. Although the villages in Halkidiki are mostly resorts-like type, someone can always find places where the authentic athmosphere of the native Greeks grips you and you can feel in white and blue :) One of my favourite... More >

Hotels are also cheaper that time, as high season has not started (it starts in mid June in Greece). I have been to many resorts in Halkidiki... More >
Halkidiki is beautiful, the beaches are long and sandy, nightlife is excellent. I didn't visit historical monuments, wanted to go to Athos but I was with my girlfriend and no women are allowed there. People are very pleasant and helpful in need. I stayed in a hotel in Gerakini this year. The local... More >
Pefkohori is a nice place, although a bit overcrowded in July. I personally prefer quieter beaches, like Pagliouri where there is also a camping site, if you like nature. The taverns by the beach were great and their prices normal. The only problem was that there were not enough parking places in... More >
Vourvourou beach was very nice and very close to the apartment we had rent. In April, there were not many people, so we were almost alone at the beach. The village is pretty small, clear and quiet, in a few words it is a lovely destination! The taverns were good and the service excellent. People... More >

Nice and very, very long. Sand was all over on Agios Mamas. Our accomodation was close so we were frequent visitors:)) Great tavern by the beach, Mr Manolis is an excellent cook and his specialite is melitzanes papoutsaki, I believe. This dish is traditional Greek and it is actually eggplant... More >
