The Sani Festival 2010 will take place for the 18th time on the row this year from middle July to early September. The festival officially began in 1993 and since then, it has developed into one of the most important festivals in the region, promoting culture and tourism. This year, the festival will have 5 categories with events from local and international scene.
Jazz on the Hill
Since the first "Jazz on the Hill" festival in 1992, this three-day event has hosted legends of the jazz music, such as Jan Garbarek in 1995, Cassandra Wilson in 1998, Chico Freeman in 2003 and many others. This year, there will be a special tribute to the artists of the German disk company ACT.

Sounds of the World
This section is dedicated to the new music of Spain, Portugal and Brazil. This music has attracted the audience of many countries and has been the soundtrack of famous movies.

The group Guilia y los Tellarini is the group that composed the music for the movie "Vicky Christina Barcelona" by Woody Allen.
Music on Film vs Film on Music
This third section is dedicated to Michel Legrand, the famous French musician who has composed the music of many movies along his career. Movies with his sounbdtracks will be screened from July 30th till August 1st.
Greek Participations
This year, the Greek music will be participated by the music composer Evanthia Reboutsika and Panagiotis Kalantzopoulos (August 7th) and a concert will be given by the famous singers Haris Alexiou and Martha Fritzila (August 14th).
Sani Classic
This fifth section is dedicated to classical music. While all other events are performed on the hill of Sani, next to the Medieval tower, these music concerts are held in the open cinema Orpheas and the entrance is free.
