Description: This Byzantine tower was built in the 14th century by monks of the Vatopedi Abbey to protect the area from enemy invasions. Today it is considered as the best preserved tower in Halkidiki. |
Location: It is located to the north east of Olynthos village
Description: This archaeological site was discovered in the 1930s and includes archaeological findings of the ancient Olynthos town, which used to be the capital of Halkidiki for a while, in the antiquity. Within Olynthos village, there is an archaeological museum that hosts the findings from the excavations. |
