found in the narthex.

The Chapel of the Apostle Paul

About 20 kilometres south of Nikiti is the chapel of the Apostle Paul, built during the late 19th century, on the site of an older church.

It is worth-seeing for its beautiful well-preserved interior fountain dated from 1713.

The Church of the Dormition of the Virgin

East of the village of Neos Marmaras is the church of the Dormition of the Virgin.

The church is part of the dependency of the Grigoriou Monastery and was built in 1865.

This church, also dedicated to Agios (Saint) Athanasios, is
located in the large village of Sykia.

Agios Nikitas Church

It was built in 1819, burnt down in 1821 and in 1854, and was rebuilt as we see it today, in 1861.

The church is very interesting for its unique wood-carved icon-stands dating from 1703, its beautiful wooden roof and fine stone relief on its exterior walls.
