I go to Halkidiki almost every spring. I usually go on spring because it is more calm, only the locals and a few early tourists, but things are kept quiet. Halkidiki is beautiful, the beaches are long and sandy, nightlife is excellent. I didn't visit historical monuments, wanted to go to Athos but I was with my girlfriend and no women are allowed there.
