Zakynthos Villages: Katastari village in Zakynthos Katastari Zakynthos: The village of Volimes is composed of two villages: Ano (Up) Volimes and Kato (Down). Volimes which are forming a large traditional mountainous village, 30 kilometres north-west of the capital of Zakynthos, in an agricultural area. Volimes has kept some of its traditional houses that survived the strong earthquake of 1953 and has a church, Agia Paraskevi, housing fine icons and frescoes.
