| Most
of the shops in Zakynthos (Zante) are gathered in the capital
of the island; because 10.000 inhabitants are leaving
in the town, the capital offers all kind of shops that
are mostly located in Alexander Street, third parallel
from the waterfront.
Leather shops and jewelleries are numerous and offer
good quality products, cheaper than in other European
countries.
Various shops selling local products and delicacies
can be found in the capital of the island as well as
in many other resorts.
Touristy shops can be found every where and are opened
7 days a week from 9 am until late.
The other shops are open 6 days a week from 9 am until
2 pm and from 5 pm until 9 pm. On Monday, Wednesday
and Saturday shops are open from 9 am to 3 pm.
