zakynthos Limnionas 01 Limnionas Zakynthos: The village of Agios Leon lies a few kilometers from the bay and is a nice village, largely unspoiled by tourism. From here the road weaves down to the coast and it’s a pleasant journey with the road bordered by heather.

At the bay there is a largeish carpark at the top and from here there is a walk down a path carved from the rock.
Journeying down you get an excellent view of the bay which is roughly u-shaped with plenty of nooks, crannies and small caves.
 

There is no sand at all here at Limnionas bay and people who are not bathing try and find a space on the rocks. A platform has been created and there are a couple of shack like constructions. Looking out from here the rock faces are white and the waters a beautiful blue.

Our Impressions:
This is quite unlike any other beach on the island and well worth a visit despite its slightly remote location. It is not a place for a comfortable sunbathe but the picturesque surroundings are what attract people here.
