Zakynthos Beaches: Argassi beach in Zakynthos Greece, Zante Argassi Zakynthos: Argasi Beach is located in the touristy resort of the same name, 5 kilometres from the capital of Zakynthos. Argassi Zante is a long golden sandy beach that extends one kilometre and offers a wide range of water sports facilities. The resort of Argasi has many hotels, taverns, bars and shops.

Not dissimilar to Laganas, you will find plenty of bars and clubs here. A good example of this is Avalon a huge pub whose exterior has been created in the style of a castle which sits in the centre of the street. There is little subtlety here. The beach is quite long and mostly thin. Behind it and hanging over it are a long line of large hotels. Many people choose to sunbathe in the grassy areas of these rather than venture the short distance to the beach. This resort is very close to the main town and very busy. The beach can not really be recommended and is actually quite dirty in places.
