Category: Zakynthos Town
The town of Zakynthos is just lovely. Beautiful squares and neoclassical buildings, cafeterias with excellent views to the castle and many gift shops to stroll around. I especially loved Bochali, it is a suburb of Zakynthos with green trees and some hills to overview the area. Visit the houses of Solomos and of Xenopoulos, they will give you a good aspect of the town's culture.

Category: Zakynthos Volimes
Volimes is a great village to see the traditional side of Zakynthos. Short houses, nice figures and small alleys. At Volimes, there was a very nice lady that treated us rose spoon sweet and gave us a big smile to fare well. I hope she is fine. All houses were stone, some attached one to another and had beautiful gardens. Have a Greek coffee at the traditional cafeteria in the square. Mr Panagiotis cooks the best Greek coffee ever!

Category: Zakynthos Maherado
Maherado is generally a small and quiet village, except when groups of tourists come to cheer it up. No particular sights, just one of the regular villages of Zakynthos. However, go visit it because Greek villages in general are much different from villages in Britain, where I come from. I do not believe there is a hotel there, so just go for a meal in the square and wander across the nice houses.
