As announced by the Head of Secondary Education of Zakynthos, Mr Dionysios Koklas, the creation of an educational workshop for  people with special needs is currently in progress. This workshop will be the continuation for the secondary education of the students of the special school of Zakynthos. It will be housed in the former primary school of Lithakia village, about 10 km from Zakynthos town, which will be accordingly transformed. This professional workshop will accept students from 14 to 24 years old and will teach them handicrafts so that they will be able to earn their living alone. This workshop is expected to start from September 2009 and it is full in staff.
