A British tourist, aged 18, lost his life last night, as he was stabbed in the heart by a local taxi driver in the tourist resort of Laganas!
This shocking event took place last night at 3 a.m. when, according to witnesses, the group of British tourists had a fight with two local taxi drivers, who had their taxis parked by the street. After the British threw some objects to the two taxi drivers, one of them took out a knife and attacked the tourists. One of them was killed, two have serious injuries, while the other two British do not face any danger for their life.
The two drivers, aged 21 and 25, run from the spot, but an hour later they were arrested by the police. This tragic incident raises once again the issue of the uncontrolled tourist development in the region of Laganas, when incidents with British tourists are very usual.
